The Main Issue With Robot Vacuum And Mop, And How You Can Repair It
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops have become more adept, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling a variety of floor types. Select models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

Many of the best models work with smartphones. Find an app that allows you to save maps, schedules and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set up schedules and modify the behavior of the S1.

When I tested the S1 It was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one go. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or rugs.

After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but it will differ based on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating well. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.

This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled as required. It has a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. robot vacuum hoover are good, too, even though it can sometimes get caught up on the tiny rug or area mats I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual boundary in the application). The mopping feature is pretty excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station if required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests efficiently by avoiding pet hairs as well as other mess. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically swings out in order to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without changing direction which is a great feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors However, it tends to leave a wide distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The app is streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, alter mopping and suction power settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You will require a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

Robot vacuums are excellent in removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every bit of dust. It's important to vacuum frequently, every week. This is especially true for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is made to do just that. It's easy to connect it to your WiFI network at home and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.

Even though it's not able to mop floors, the Q5 still has some of the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa power that can combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't clean up cables or kitty litter that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this will allow it to enter places that other vacuums cannot reach. The device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. The robot can recognize carpets and increase suction when needed. The app also lets you to mark areas you want to avoid this is a useful feature.
