Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Find models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging dock to self-empty and clean the stairs.
A lot of the top models work with your smartphone. Find an application that lets you save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
When I tried the S1, it was able to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even over thresholds that are raised without issue. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or carpets.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills its water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working efficiently. For this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for cleaning. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a variety of unique features, including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled as required. It comes with a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty solid as well, though it does sometimes get hung in the small rug or area mats I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual border within the application). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled at the top of the station when they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush will give you a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is a great choice on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent, navigating tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. robot vacuums cheap can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction. This is beneficial for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than the ones of other competitors, and leaves a huge space around obstacles. This can lead to miss-hit spots.
The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop setting and view 2D and 3-D maps. It is accessible through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last bit of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, particularly to remove dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network, and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on price by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to clean your floor. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic emptying system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart application that lets you schedule cleaning and determine the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any issues with high-pile carpets or area carpets, but it didn't pick up kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we've tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this really helps it get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. The robot is also able to detect carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
